Ernest Maier invests in premium cement and recycled aggregates for our concrete masonry units (CMU) in order to produce superior products that exceed performance standards for fire resistance rating and LEED standards for recycled content. Ernest Maier avoids using any component products that have been deemed hazardous materials.

Performance:

Ernest Maier also invests in equipment to fabricate CMU specialty shapes that can increase the speed of installation or increase thermal performance of a building. The upfront cost of our ultra lightweight units is easily recouped by the efficiencies gained in their installation. The sustainability of our masonry products is self evident in architecture of the DMV.

People:

Ernest Maier and its employees are active members of multiple trade associations, green building organizations and civic boards. Ernest Maier also sponsors the education of employees, owners and architects to improve the awareness and understanding of masonry design and promote its use in conscientious sustainable construction.
