ABOUT US - Going Green
Ernest Maier is committed to playing our part in reducing waste and recycling materials.
Our "green" efforts include:
- Versalite: Ernest Maier uses agglomerated fly ash, a byproduct of a coal-fired power plant, in its concrete masonry units.
- Water Recycling: Ernest Maier recaptures water from its block curing as well as storm water for use in its ready mix operation.
- Biodiesel: Ernest Maier collects and processes used cooking oil from local restaurants for use as fuel for our off road equipment.
